Trade mission to Baku

In October, twelve IABA member companies travelled to Baku for four busy days of meetings, site visits and dinners.

The programme was built around each company’s goals, with one-to-one meetings arranged in advance, a visit to the port and an evening reception for Irish and Azerbaijani businesses. Several members have since signed agreements with partners they met on the trip.

“You can do a lot by email, but nothing replaces sitting across the table from someone,” said Rashad Karimov, who helped organise the visit. We are already planning the next mission.
