Working Groups
Working Groups within the Ireland Azerbaijan Business Association (AIBA) are specialised subcommittees dedicated to key sectors and strategic initiatives that shape business engagement between Ireland and Azerbaijan.
Sector by sector, side by side
These groups provide a platform for AIBA members to collaborate on focused projects, share sector-specific expertise, and collectively address emerging opportunities and challenges within the Ireland–Azerbaijan business landscape. Their structure and priorities evolve over time to reflect the dynamic needs of our members and the broader shifts in bilateral trade and investment.
We are proud to host a number of active and high-impact Working Groups across priority industries. These forums enable in-depth market discussions, peer-to-peer collaboration, and meaningful knowledge exchange.
Our Working Groups span a diverse range of sectors that are central to the Ireland–India economic relationship: Ideas from the groups shape our events, our briefings and the conversations we have with decision-makers in both countries. Members choose which groups to join, so the list grows as business between Ireland and Azerbaijan grows.

Energy and Renewables
Energy has connected our two countries for a long time. This group brings together people working in energy services, wind, solar and efficiency, and looks at where Irish know-how and Azerbaijani ambition meet.

Agri-food and Drinks
Producers, exporters and buyers who want more Irish food and drink on Azerbaijani tables, and more Azerbaijani produce in Irish shops. Expect tastings as well as talk.

Education and Jobs
This group brings together academic institutions, employers, and policymakers to support talent mobility, international education, and graduate employability. It promotes dialogue around market intel, skills development, knowledge transfer, and career pathways for students and professionals.

Technology and Digital
For people in software, fintech, cybersecurity and digital services. Members share what worked (and what didn’t) when they started working across both markets, and look for projects to do together.

Aviation and Aerospace
Ireland is a global leader in aircraft leasing and aviation services. This group facilitates engagement on sectoral growth, policy trends, training initiatives, and investment opportunities in the aviation and aerospace industries.

SMEs and Start-ups
Focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and scale-up support, this group connects Irish and Indian SMEs and start-ups to explore joint ventures, funding pathways, and market entry strategies, with a view to fostering sustainable bilateral growth.
